Splash Page:
Joe could feel his pulse quicken, and a sudden rush of heat coursed through his body.
This is not real, he thought dimly.
He gripped the camera tightly against his chest, painfully aware of his heart thumping wildly against his rib cage. The Polaroid he had taken shook in his other hand and as he slowly raised it to his face, his fingers were trembling so much he feared he was going to drop it.
“Joe?” Frank called from the wooden plank of half-rotted jetty. “Joe, you coming?”
But Joe was beyond hearing. He couldn’t seem to tear his eyes away from the photo.
This is not real. Not real.
I’m not seeing this, he thought dizzily, swallowing hard but still the waves of sickness washed over him. He closed his eyes.
Then he opened them again.
Oh God.
Special Notes:
Dear friends, I have decided to terminate Cry To Me to respect the wishes of a few special readers who have lost relatives and loved ones to the recent outbreak of SARS. Ironically, though, for some unknown reasons, my interests have taken on a new turn, and I hope you will enjoy this one as much as you would have enjoyed Cry To Me if I didn’t decide to end it.
There is no need for new readers to read the write-up I have on my world of angst with my other stories. This is a completely different AU. This is it. A totally different realm. A new me. Haha.
Happy reading!!!
